A Monumental Year
April Ministry Update
Somehow, we’re already at the end of another year.
Doing this for so long has granted me the privilege of mostly enjoying it rather than feeling sad about things wrapping up. That’s because I know that no matter how awesome this year has been, God always has more in store for us in the future.

That said, this year really has been magnificent. We've seen more growth than ever before, celebrated more baptisms, launched our NCTC campus and already witnessed God doing amazing things there. We've also created more ministry opportunities for our returning students and experimented with exciting new evangelism methods.
It’s been one of my favorite years of ministry to date. While I’m sad to see it come to a close, I’m also excited about what God has in store for us next and how we can build on this momentum.

Looking Ahead
Summer tends to be a tough season for many of our students. It’s sad—many think that with more free time, their relationship with the Lord will flourish, but often quite the opposite ends up happening. What I’ve seen time and again is that people tend to follow Newton’s laws of motion: a person in motion stays in motion, and a person at rest stays at rest.
The challenge is that over the summer, students often come to rest—even in their walk with the Lord. Of course, we do our best to prepare them and provide support for those who stay in town, but many return home to environments that vary in how spiritually healthy they are.
That’s where prayer comes in. I’d love for you to join me in praying for our students as they head into their summer break.
Laying on of hands to our departing pastors
I’d also like to ask for your prayers for our staff. Two of our long-time pastors are transitioning: one is staying with FOCUS but moving to a different campus, and the other is embarking on a long-term mission trip to Thailand! These are both exciting developments, but they represent a big shift for our team dynamic.
Next year, we’re also welcoming four new apprentices to our Denton staff! So, with all these changes, please be praying that we can send off those who are leaving well and warmly welcome those who are joining us.
